Handwritten letters written between Robert Walker and his wife, Janet Walker, 1861-1862. Robert Walker was a member of Company D,32nd New York Infantry Regiment. He enlisted September 5, 1861, aged 35, at Amsterdam, N.Y. and mustered out on June 9, 1863 at New York, N.Y. Robert was from the village of Hagaman Mills now known as Hagaman, N.Y.

Robert Walker, worked for many years as the University of Arizona Photo Services Center Manager . During his time at the University he worked on a number of assignments for various departments and collages. His images have been used in numerous campus related publications.
